Soccer drill procedure

One thing to note: You’ll find more movement suggestions in the last drill of this series. We are only presenting a few ideas as Soccerpilot animations. Balls should be included in the warm-up; this drill is a good example of that. Imagine the sequence without a ball. The players would run across the field in a row, carrying out the movements. The ball brings a bit of spice to this drill in soccer practice.

Animation explanation:

Continue running after one full turn (a jump-turn is also possible).

Description

Form two rows. The players in the row on the left each have a ball. After dribbling for a short amount of time, the player passes the ball to the first player on the opposite row. This player then dribbles the ball to the other side. The passer also runs to the other side, while completing different tasks. The coach is in charge of distributing these tasks.

Variations

- Do the drill with only one ball; the player on the right side does not dribble, but passes and then completes additional tasks.

Soccer coach tips

- Always train using both legs!
- Clear and precise instructions
