In this drill, we’ll be introducing a special kind of short journey. Don’t let the animation confuse you – we’ve only shown one group so as to keep things clear. Several teams can play on the field at once; this will make the field quite cramped, and ensures that the players really need to concentrate.
Several groups of four stand on the field. You can also form larger teams to make the drill more difficult. The players pass the ball to each other in a predetermined order. After each pass, the passing player leaves the field and runs round a cone marker located off the field. He then returns from his “round trip” directly into the passing group. It doesn’t matter which cone marker he runs around.
- Different passing techniques
- Only direct play!
- Competition! Which group can carry out the most passes in a given time?
- Ensure that the drill is being carried out correctly
- High speed during the "Round Trip"
