Soccer training – Dribbling - Exercise:

Previous exerciseDribbling Relays 2Next exercise

Soccer drill procedure

Only a small variation from the previous drill, but still a completely different character to the drill. In the centre, the ball is tightly dribbled around the marker with the foot. Pay attention to high speed and the use of both legs in all dribbling relay drills. As well as having plenty of fun competing with the other team, we’re also trying to learn something through these relay drills.

Description

Two teams stand opposite each other in two groups. On the trainer’s command, the players start to dribble across the centre of the training field. In the centre, the ball is dribbled around a marker. Players then continue to the opposite side to give the ball to a team-mate there.

Variations

- Different dribbling techniques
- More fields for more teams

Soccer coach tips
