Soccer training – Passing - Exercise:

Previous exerciseCreative PassNext exercise

Soccer drill procedure

A small drill or an introduction to the lob pass between two defenders. The players decide themselves where the pass should be played to. Use the row of cones to mark off-side; this makes the process much more difficult. Make sure to be patient with your team, it can take a while for players to get the order right.

Description

Three players run next to each other; the middle player dribbles towards the goal. Just before the row of cones, but with enough time; the dribbler decides where to pass. Only one thing is predetermined: the pass must be made in the space between the two cones.

This is followed by a shot on goal. The inactive dribbler runs around the cone and returns to the starting position. The players switch positions each time.

Variations

- Immediate shot on goal, without first controlling the ball
- Don’t line the cones up in a row, vary the distances to the goal

Soccer coach tips

- Be patient
- The outside player must move into the zone in time
