Soccer drill procedure

The player with the ball should pay close attention to the defender in order to bring the ball to a goal shot position on the free side. Give the players some time to get used to the drill. This goal shot soccer training programme is already a very demanding one.

Description

The players start moving towards the goal at the same time. Two players sprint past the players with the balls. The better positioned player of the two receives the pass, and shoots at the goal from a sprinting position. The defender attempts to block the goal shot.

Variations

- The two rear players cross paths behind the player with the ball before the sprint, swapping sides in the process.

Soccer coach tips

- Always train using both legs!
- Correct errors individually
- Use the momentum from the sprint when making the goal shot
- Keep running to make a second shot
