Soccer training – Dribbling - Exercise:

Soccer drill procedure

We’ll change the sequence of the introductory drill by adding a turn by the players when they meet in the center. Either the players make a free turn, or they use a previously learned technique. You can find some of these techniques in the section “Tricks”.

Both players’ dribbling speed should be identical so that they really meet in the center. If the players lift their heads on the way to the center, they should be able to adjust their speeds accordingly. It will work with some practice.

Description

The players each dribble around the second ground marking in the center. They then meet, make a turn and dribble back to their starting group.

Variations

- Require a specific turn
- A competitive aspect can be introduced

Soccer coach tips

- Leave the turn at speed
- Adjust the speed so that the players meet in the middle
