Soccer drill procedure

This drill is defined by its easy organization and great dynamics. Use the easy setup to have more than one practice field ready. This makes the groups smaller and the waiting time is decreased.

We’ll show you what is possible in this soccer drill, using five different animations; we will start off easy, of course. The difficulty level only increases slowly and the requirements are higher in the last drill. To make sure that your team manages the last hurdle, they should first have perfectly mastered the other four sequences. Give your players the time to accomplish this.

Description

You need four ground markers per practice field. A short slalom leads players from both starting groups past each other in the center. The players then dribble to the opposite group. Keep an eye on the start positions that are on the left of the starting markers, otherwise the slalom won’t work.

Variations

- Requirement: Dribbling either with left or right only
- When players meet in the center, they should look each other in the eye
- A competitive aspect can be introduced

Soccer coach tips

- Pay attention to tight ball control
- Always train using both legs!
- Push for increased speed
