Soccer drill procedure

It is as in most cases: This drill must "set in" for some time to work really well. Several drill fields should be set up to avoid waiting times.

Description

A pair of separated cone markers are set up at both ends of the drill field. The distance between them should be about 3 meters. Two markings for the start are made at the center. A defender stands at the space between each pair of cones. These defenders remain there and are substituted after some time. A player with a ball in front of a defender is at the center of the drill field. A partner for the forward stands at each of the outer positions. Four players, all of whom are later substituted by four new trainees, are involved in the action.

The forward dribbles backwards towards the space between the pair of cone markers, the defender goes back, he is passive. Suddenly, the forward runs forward and tries to tackle the disturbing defender on the other side and score a goal. The defender at his back also tries to cause trouble aggressively. If the forward perceives that he has no chance, he turns and passes immediately to one of his partners at the outer positions. They then try to jointly tackle the defender on the opposite side.

Variations

- Termination of the attack on coach's command

Soccer coach tips

- Pay attention to quick substitution of the teams
- Correct errors individually
