You can see two different sequences in our animation. In “reality”, both groups do one variation at a time. This way, the drill is also ideal to make into a competition.
Make sure a fast pace is kept when running backwards; this trains coordination when moving. The drill has a variety of variation options; we won’t list them all, make some up on your own.
The player, who is practicing, runs backwards between the markings on the ground; he should run around the markings on the outside. After each run around the marker, he then returns to the starting position. At the end, a shot is taken on goal, depending on the variation this can be from a body turn or a frontal attack.
- Normal slalom run around the markers
- A competitive aspect can be introduced
- A turn on the run towards the goal
- Push for increased speed
