E. Dynamic attacker without ball – dynamic shifting of the defence in training

Dynamic attacker without ball

E

In this sequence, as indicated by the animation, an attacker moves in the defence center. The attacker controlling the ball is located in the center of the field.

We have already gleaned from example B which positions have to be taken in these circumstances.

3. Summary

back four summary

3

In case of an attack through the center, the central defenders (B + C) take care of securing the back space against the dynamic attacker, by blocking the path of the pass. If the defender is located in zone 2 or 3, defenders B and C secure alternatively.

If the defender is located in zone 1 or 4, it is the central defender standing closer to the attacker who will secure.

Always take note: Also the goalkeeper secures the back space!
