Soccer drill procedure

This drill can certainly be called difficult, when it’s carried out with a lot of dynamics and at a fast pace. We send a player to “passing hell”. Surrounded by four players, he faces a great challenge of serving all of his teammates with short passes. The area is very small; it is not easy to get one’s bearings in it.

Description

We’ll post a group-of-four in a rectangle, some distance from the goal. These four players stand close together, so that the goalkeeper is really put under pressure before the shot.

The starting player dribbles into the rectangle and passes once to every player. Short passes, turns – everything should be quick and, if possible, using direct passes. Once every player has been passed to, a shot on goal follows. The players making up the rectangle are routinely swapped out.

Variations

- Have a set passing order in the rectangle

Soccer coach tips

- The next player starts when the previous player begins to take his shot on goal.
