Soccer drill procedure

We recommend this drill not only for kids' training, but also for youth, as it has also established itself there. Concentration of the scorers and the passers and their capacity to react are the most important prerequisites for succeeding this short drill sequence. The coach or another communicator assumes special importance therein, as the drill would be a fiasco if the symbolic instruction is given too late.

Description

Two groups with trainees (with ball) are to the right and to the left of the goal.

The player at the yellow cone marker begins with the drill by running towards the goal. The trainer is not in the viewing range of the running player and points to the left or to the right through an arm sign. The symbolic instruction by the trainer is the signal for the players behind the goal, referring to the side, on which the pass to the running player takes place. Finally the goal shot. The passer and the scorer change the groups.

Variations
